Yahoo! Green 14 May 07
Just days after noting that Yahoo! was promoting Freecycle through its Mail service, comes the news that Yahoo has now launched its own Yahoo Green mini-site.
The site is geared towards providing suggestions on how everyone can reduce their CO2 emissions (i.e. their ‘carbon footprint’) and it helps visitors produce their own Green Action Plan to put these suggestions into practice.
The internet giant has itself has made a pledge to go carbon neutral and is also one of the main partners in the 18seconds.org campaign site, which promotes the use of energy efficient light bulbs. So, given that green appears to be the new black, can we expect the likes of Google and MSN to follow suit with their own green campaigns and websites?
