No Impact Year Ends 21 Nov 07
I, like many others, have been following the adventures of ‘No Impact Man’ as he and his family tried to live for a full year with no net impact on the environment, which he explains as follows:
(lower negative impact) + (higher positive impact) = no net impact
Now that year has come to an end and whilst our ‘hero’ is looking forward to some things that were previously forbidden (like simply having more than one light bulb in the entire apartment), its clear that in many ways his family’s life has been enriched by the experience and a lot of the changes they made may become permanent.
