Playing Catch-Up

I can’t believe how long its been since I last posted anything. A few days turned into a week and before I knew it, over a fortnight had passed. I find that if I don’t post regularly, I get out of the habit of doing it and soon forget all those great ideas I had for posts.

Discovery Buys Treehugger

If, like I did, you start poking about the internet for information on green issues and environmental news, sooner or later (but probably sooner) you’re going to stumble across Treehugger. Between their news, green guides and forum, there probably isn’t much information that you can’t find there and I’ve been a regular visitor (and subscriber) since I first discovered the site.

Green Google

If you weren’t already convinced that ‘Green is the New Black’, then check out the actions of Google who, following a similar announcement from Yahoo, have declared their intentions to go carbon neutral. Yahoo Mail Plugs Freecycle

Freecycle Advert from Yahoo Mail

I did a double-take on spotting the above advert in my Yahoo Mail this morning. Freecycle, a recycling network, is run through Yahoo Groups, an advert supported service, so its not like Yahoo don’t have an interest in increasing the numbers of people signing up to the groups. However, its still great publicity for Freecycle.

Increase in Site Traffic

Over the last couple of days, the number of visitors to this site has really shot up. Could it be that everyone is interested in cheap compost bins? Well its possible, but I think its more likely to be the fact that the Mad Eejits site received an Editor’s Pick Award on W3C Sites and was then featured on MostInspired.com.
